About mapfest
"Using the power of music, arts and entertainment as poverty reduction tools; with special emphasis on child poverty in the UK for now but we also have a heart to help those in need in, Africa, USA and the rest of the world where there is poverty".
MAPFEST is a music festival which aims to raise funds to support charities in the UK, working with poor and physically disabled children, HOMELESSNESS and against poverty.
The Musical Festival will cut across different genres of music: Reggae, Afro-Beat, Pop, R&B, Folk, Country Music, Motown, Metal, Soul, Indie, Jazz and so on.
MAPFEST will bring emerging artists and celebrity musicians together to perform on stage at the same time, will also give talented disabled performing artists the opportunity to perform alongside celebrity musicians and emerging performing artists on stage to give room for INCLUSION, DIVERSITY, RECOGNITION, REPRESENTATION, EQUALITY AND FAIRNESS.
Certain Percentage of the gate takings will go to the selected charities in the UK.
In the future/long-term MAPFEST will be a multimedia music festival, partnering with radio, TV and online channels, for now we have our own in-house TIGON MEDIA PRODUCTIONS (TMP) commissioned to cover the event.
The project will also network and collaborate with faith based organisations to use gospel music concerts and entertainment to fight against poverty - see on our website: GOMAP which is Gospel Music Against Poverty Project.
