We believe the praise of the ONE TRUE GOD crosses every cultural and language barrier; He loves to hear your praise
— GOMAP

GOMAP

  • GOMAP means Gospel Music Against Poverty. It will be a Liverpool-based gospel music festival, held annually initially, with the aim to organise more than one in a year in the future.

    GOMAP’S BENEFITS TO THE COMMUNITY:

    POVERTY REDUCTION

  • GOMAP is fundraising using the power of gospel music as a Poverty Reduction Strategy, as some of the proceedings of the tickets of the gospel music festival goes towards poverty reduction projects in our communities locally, nationally and internationally in the long term.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

  • At the same time, this festival will be a positive inspirational force to empower youths, especially those who are from disadvantage backgrounds and those facing challenges in our communities with passion and enthusiasm to become emerging talented Gospel singers/musicians so as to be able to reach their full potentials. We aim to help them to become professional gospel musicians as a means of self economic sustainability through Artist Development, Mentorship & Coaching to professionally make their way into the music industry.

    REDUCING GANG CULTURE

  • Also, we aim to take unemployed, poor and disadvantaged youths that have the love/passion for music away from the potential of joining organised crime groups referred to as gangs on our streets, GOMAP is designed and developed to transform the GANG concept to “God’s Anointed Next Generation” instead of the criminal gang concept, GOMAP uses gospel music to put them on the right track and from the dark side of the road to the bright side of the road.

    PRAISING THE LORD

  • We aim to use the power of gospel music to bring people closer together, both believers and none believers as we believe that next to PRAYERS is PRAISES and one way to praise The Lord is with the power of gospel music.

COMMUNITY COHESION

  • Gospel Music powerfully encourages unity and creating cohesion/community togetherness rather than tension. It will also promote inclusion; Making effort respectfully to ask about others’ lives to build bridges between different alienated groups of people in the community.

JUST SINGING - IMPROVING MENTAL HEALTH

  • By bringing people together to sing the inspiring and uplifting lyrics of Gospel music can be very therapeutic for those struggling with their mental health. There’s no need to be skillful or audition, “JUST SINGING” together as one reminds us we aren’t alone and that God places us in community to strengthen and walk alongside each other.

THE FUTURE BELONGS TO THOSE WHO BELIEVE IN THE BEAUTY OF THEIR DREAMS.”

SPONSORSHIP/PARTNERSHIP

AT THE MOMENT GOMAP IS IN SEARCH OF SPONSORSHIP/PARTNERSHIP FOR NETWORKING/COLLABORATING, LOCALLY, NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY TO MAKE GOSPEL MUSIC A POSITIVE FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH IN THE MUSIC INDUSTRY.

About Liverpool Ark Discovery Centre
The Liverpool Ark Discovery Centre CIC – The LADC, (formerly known as Love Assembly Discovery Centre), was set up in 2012 for the purpose of empowering individuals to discover themselves and their potentials, while also encouraging stronger bond in families and communities.

The LADC started as a community project supported by RCCG Love Assembly Liverpool (UK Charity number 1130539) geared towards meeting the needs of individuals and families in the immediate local communities of the L1, L2, L3, L7 & L8 postcodes of the city of Liverpool, Merseyside UK.

We are currently based in the Toxteth area of Liverpool, our projects are run in collaboration with members of our immediate community, this is to ensure and enable a direct input from our service users especially in the local community. • you can get trained to become an entrepreneur, an employee or an inventor.

  • you can meet with potential and relevant service providers; childminders, caterers, party planners/organisers e.tc.

  • you can hold birthday parties, wedding receptions, conferences and meetings in our multi-purpose rooms and halls.

  • you can meet people and build relationships that can be of lifelong benefit

All our initiatives are run by a team of trained and qualified professionals and volunteers that have dedicated their time, skill and knowledge to ensure professionalism and good quality services to anyone irrespective of age, religion or gender.
